2nd Harvest
Boundary County Mobile Food Market Program
The last two 2nd Harvest free food distribution events of the season will take place on Thursday October 1st, and Wednesday October 28th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Boundary County Fairgrounds.
Event Details
• Traffic Flow: Drivers should enter the fairgrounds from 4th Street and form a single-file line.
• Eligibility: No registration or sign-up is required. Food items typically include staples, fresh produce, bakery goods, dairy, and meat. (Last month’s event served 272 families.)
• Volunteers: Volunteers are always needed to help pack and distribute food. Please arrive at the west end of the fairgrounds by 10:00 a.m. on the day of the event.
Sponsorship & Donations
The cost of each food distribution is $1,500 after a $500 stipend provided by 2nd Harvest. The October 1st truck will be sponsored by Trinity Lutheran Church.The last event in late October is partially funded. Individuals, families, and businesses are invited to donate or learn more by calling to leave a message at the church: 208-267-2894.
